Andrew Gillum was released from Baldwin County Jail on Friday and ordered to enter Cumberland Heights Treatment Center in Nashville, according to court documents obtained by TMZ. The former Florida gubernatorial candidate must remain in treatment for at least 30 days, or until he completes the court ordered drug and alcohol program. Andrew Gillum’s release is anything but a free pass. A judge required him to wear a GPS ankle monitor, barred him from taking passes during intensive inpatient care, and warned that leaving the facility without permission would result in an immediate arrest. What Happens If Gillum Leaves? The court order requires Cumberland Heights to notify the judge immediately if Andrew Gillum leaves for any reason, including after completing inpatient treatment. If that happens, Andrew Gillum must be returned to jail, and authorities would classify him as an escapee if he departed without approval. Andrew Gillum was taken back into custody earlier this month after prosecutors said he missed a random drug test and later tested positive for meth at a court appearance. The case began in July, when Alabama officers allegedly stopped Andrew Gillum for erratic driving and reported finding 3 grams of meth, eight pre rolled joints, cut straws, pipes, and a bong; he faces one felony meth possession charge and two misdemeanors.
