Drake claimed his 18th No. 1 album on Billboard’s Top R&B and Hip Hop Albums chart on October 17, 2026, moving past Future and The Temptations. HABIBTI launched from No. 35 to the top spot after the HABIBTI (FOMO) expansion added four songs from Drake’s self funded FOMO film. Billboard reported that Drake now holds the category record outright, while Future and The Temptations remain tied with 17 No. 1 albums each. The milestone also ended The Temptations’ roughly six decade reign, which began with Gettin’ Ready reaching No. 1 in July 1966. How Did HABIBTI Take Over? The expanded HABIBTI added “Solar Eclipse” with Don Toliver, “Cold Shoulder” with Toliver and Yebba, “Quebec,” and “Classic PT2.” The new edition brought the project to 15 songs after the tracks appeared in FOMO, which premiered online in September. For the tracking week ending October 8, HABIBTI generated 71,000 album equivalent units in the United States, a 506 percent jump. The album also climbed from No. 116 to No. 2 on the Billboard 200, with nearly 70,000 units coming from streaming. HABIBTI replaced Drake’s own ICEMAN at No. 1, following the unusual release of HABIBTI, MAID OF HONOUR, and ICEMAN on May 15, the first solo album rollout from Drake since 2023’s For All The Dogs.
