Brandon Clarke was found dead at his Los Angeles area home in May at age 29, and a Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s report details the substances and items investigators found inside. The report says Clarke’s accidental death resulted from heroin and cocaine, with prescription medications also contributing. Investigators documented vape devices, cannabis products, prescription drugs, injectable peptides, syringes and a box of Narcan in Clarke’s bedroom and connected bathroom. A plate holding an unidentified white powder was found on the kitchen island alongside a hotel key card, though the report does not identify the powder. What Happened Inside the Home? Clarke’s agent reportedly tried to reach him before asking his housemate to check the residence. The housemate found Clarke unresponsive in bed and called 911; investigators reported no obvious signs of foul play or fatal injuries, but noted bright blood colored residue on the sheets and pillows. According to investigators, Clarke’s housemate described a history of drug use that included previous rehab stays. Clarke had spent his seven year NBA career with the Memphis Grizzlies after Memphis selected him in the first round of the 2019 draft, and he was reportedly scheduled to appear in court on drug charges days after his death.
