Carmine Agnello began serving his federal sentence Monday after a planned kidney donation to his mother, Victoria Gotti , was derailed by her medical complications. The Federal Bureau of Prisons now lists Agnello’s projected release date as September 2, 2027, cutting his time from 15 months to roughly 13 months. Agnello surrendered to federal authorities and was taken to Federal Correctional Institution Fairton in Fairton, New Jersey. According to court records, Agnello pleaded guilty in 2024 to a wire fraud scheme involving $1.1 million in COVID 19 relief funds. The Kidney Donation Plan Hit One Medical Roadblock After Another A judge previously delayed Agnello’s prison reporting date from July 20 so he could potentially donate a kidney to Victoria Gotti. The procedure was postponed after Victoria Gotti developed an infection, and a later plan requiring Agnello to report on September 18 also collapsed when doctors could not medically clear her for surgery. Agnello’s attorney, Robert Beltrani, requested another extension Monday, but the judge rejected it and adjusted Agnello’s reporting time by only two hours. Sources close to the family told TMZ that Agnello’s requests were focused on helping his mother undergo the transplant before incarceration, not avoiding his sentence.
