Donald Trump was photographed Wednesday night reviewing a document that appears to show demolition plans for the Kennedy Center, after threatening to shut down or tear down the Washington, D.C. arts complex. The image was taken aboard Air Force One after landing and has intensified a fight over the building's future, funding, and branding. The document reportedly included the words Kennedy Center and what appeared to be demolished. Donald Trump has called the center a mess without his involvement and claimed it lost tens of millions, possibly hundreds of millions, of dollars. How Did the Kennedy Center Fight Escalate? The dispute is now in federal court. After a judge blocked the Kennedy Center board from placing a tribute to Donald Trump on the building or its campus, Donald Trump said he would hold back 257 million dollars in congressionally approved renovation funding unless his name appeared prominently on the property. The board, which includes Trump appointees, then voted to close the center for renovations after part of the grand foyer ceiling fell during a storm earlier this month. Workers were later seen installing fencing near the main entrance, while Representative Joyce Beatty accused Donald Trump of throwing a tantrum after losing in court and alleged that his efforts to remove people from the building could amount to contempt of court.
