Ed Sheeran lost every announced supporting act for his Loop tour on Tuesday after Macklemore was removed following public pro Palestine statements. Finneas , Aaron Rowe , Lukas Graham , and Beoga all withdrew from upcoming dates, including six South American shows in November and the remaining North American concerts. Finneas, Billie Eilish's brother and longtime creative collaborator, announced that he would not perform with Sheeran in South America. In a social media statement, Finneas said artists should be able to speak for oppressed people and confirmed his support for Palestine. Why Did the Tour Lose Every Opener? Lukas Graham also exited the North American run, with frontman Lukas Forchhammer arguing that artists should be free to discuss war, civilian deaths, and children affected by conflict. Aaron Rowe said his Irish background, and Ireland's history with famine, occupation, and colonization, made it impossible for him to continue while artists were being silenced over criticism of Israel. Beoga withdrew as well, but the Irish band stressed that its friendship with Ed Sheeran has lasted more than 10 years and remains intact. The mass departures leave Sheeran's announced tour dates without their previously listed support acts, turning Macklemore's removal into a larger industry clash over artistic speech, Palestine, and who controls the concert stage.
