Hayden Panettiere was found unresponsive inside a South Carolina Airbnb on August 16, and newly released 911 audio captures Zach Hickerson calling for help. The actress was not breathing, while a dispatcher instructed the caller to begin CPR before first responders arrived. The recording, obtained by CBS News, shows the emergency response unfolding in real time. Zach Hickerson reportedly said he had just returned from church and discovered Hayden unresponsive, while Brian Hickerson was asleep and later woke up. What Happened During the Call? The dispatcher told the caller to locate a defibrillator, place the phone on speaker, and start chest compressions. The caller also performed rescue breathing as emergency personnel made their way to the Airbnb, then took over after arriving. Hayden Panettiere could not be revived and was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials ruled the death an accidental overdose caused by the toxic effects of multiple drugs, including fentanyl, and the DEA is investigating the circumstances. Zach Hickerson previously said Brian Hickerson administered Narcan, but the medication is not mentioned in the released 911 recording. Panettiere’s former partner, Wlad Klitschko, has also been involved in estate matters, including reported tax debt and concerns about missing or pawned jewelry.
