Jimmy Buffett ’s children, Cameron Marley Buffett and Sarah Delaney Buffett, were questioned in court discovery about their mother, Jane Slagsvol , and her alleged ketamine and marijuana use. The questions surfaced in the ongoing legal battle over Buffett’s estate, after the singer died on September 1, 2023. The estate is reportedly valued at 275 million dollars. According to court documents, former financial advisor Richard Mozenter asked the children to provide communications and records related to Jane’s prescription and nonprescription drug use from August 2023 through the present. Why Did the Drug Questions Come Up? Mozenter raised the requests as part of his lawsuit against Jane, while Jane has filed a countersuit. Jane claimed in recent court filings that Mozenter was preventing her from accessing financial records needed to determine her next legal and estate related steps. Cameron and Sarah Delaney argued that the discovery demands were excessive and sought what they described as “harassing documents” unrelated to the core dispute. The filings do not establish that Jane used ketamine or marijuana, only that those subjects became part of the legal questioning surrounding control of Jimmy Buffett’s estate.
