On Monday, Jimmy Kimmel responded to Donald Trump calling him a “loser” and “crooked” during a Saturday rally in Clarksville, Tennessee. Trump was reacting to Kimmel’s commentary about empty seats at one of the president’s recent events. During his monologue on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”, Jimmy Kimmel questioned why rally attendance had become Trump’s main grievance after the comedian discussed several other controversies involving the president. Kimmel then repeated his claim that the rally had empty seats, clearly deciding that one round of shade was not enough. Where Are the Receipts? “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” followed the joke with images showing unfilled sections at Trump’s rally. Jimmy Kimmel also mocked Trump’s explanation that attendees simply moved closer to the stage, comparing the theory to fans mysteriously abandoning the upper levels at a Lakers game. Trump had separately argued on Truth Social that an Ohio arena was packed and that thousands of people were turned away, while claiming media outlets misrepresented crowds at his events. Trump also accused news organizations of dishonesty and suggested they should be arrested, and a White House representative did not immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment.
