On Aug. 11, 2026, Jonathan Roumie was announced as the narrator of Banijay Live’s “Luminiscence,” an immersive production opening Oct. 1, 2026, at New York’s St. Patrick’s Cathedral. The experience will blend projected light, music, and choral performances inside the Fifth Avenue landmark. Roumie, best known for playing Jesus in “The Chosen,” is lending his voice to a production that has already attracted 2 million visitors across 20 installations in eight countries. Banijay Live has presented “Luminiscence” in markets including France, Spain, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Brazil, and the United States. Why St. Patrick’s Cathedral? Banijay Americas CEO Ben Samek said Roumie was selected for his “authenticity, depth, and humanity,” describing the actor as a natural fit for an experience built around storytelling and spiritual reflection. Ticket prices and the scale of the presentation will vary depending on which version of the St. Patrick’s Cathedral experience guests choose. For Roumie, the Manhattan setting adds a personal layer: He was born and raised in New York and described St. Patrick’s as a longtime symbol of faith, architecture, and city life. The cathedral, North America’s largest Gothic Revival Catholic cathedral, will serve as the latest high-profile setting for “Luminiscence,” which was created by Lotchi, Banijay Live’s immersive-experience division.
