Lindsey Graham praised the Iran war as the greatest accomplishment of his life in previously unreleased documentary footage filmed before his death at 71. The South Carolina senator made the comments while speaking with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu , according to filmmaker Alex Holder’s in progress project, Lindsey’s Game . In the footage, Graham also described President Donald Trump as an unusually effective wartime leader and compared Trump and Netanyahu to Franklin D. Roosevelt and Winston Churchill. Graham additionally remarked that Trump had posted far less than usual on social media, framing the president’s quieter online presence as evidence of a focused White House. What Will the Documentary Reveal? Holder said the film was built from more than four years of access to Graham’s professional and private worlds, including closed door meetings, conversations with global leaders, and major policy discussions. The documentary began filming in late 2021, remains in post production, and does not yet have a distributor or release date. Graham died unexpectedly on July 11, one day before his planned 64th appearance on NBC’s Meet the Press . A representative cited a brief, sudden illness, while District of Columbia officials later attributed the death to aortic dissection caused by arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease after a July 12 autopsy; CNN’s Manu Raju also interviewed Holder about the project on July 26.
