Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly preparing to return to the U.K. with their children in the coming weeks, after six years in California, according to People on Aug. 19, 2026. The stay is expected to last an extended period, while the couple keeps its Montecito home and maintains its professional base in the United States. The location of the family’s new British residence has not been disclosed. The New York Times reports that King Charles was informed about the move on Sunday, while Harry and Meghan are expected to remain nonworking royals after returning across the pond. What Happens to Archewell? The reported relocation is not currently tied to the shutdown of Archewell Productions or As Ever, Meghan’s lifestyle brand. Archewell launched in 2020, but its Hollywood output has been limited, with the company now serving largely as a platform for As Ever. Netflix remains a partner despite growing questions around the deal’s future after years of relatively light production. In March, Harry and Meghan were reported to be developing a Netflix film based on No Way Out: The Searing True Story of Men Under Siege , a memoir about British forces defending Musa Qala in Afghanistan in 2006.
