Prince Harry , 41, is set to take part in a charity skydiving event later this month, raising money for Canadian military organizations Sunnybrook and True Patriot Love. The jump will be one of Harry’s first public appearances since he and Meghan Markle reportedly returned to the UK with their children, although organizers have not announced the exact date. According to the event announcement, Harry agreed to the stunt after meeting 102-year-old World War II veteran Ed Marshall at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto last November. Marshall told Harry about skydiving to mark his own 100th birthday, and the veteran’s grandson, Bailey, is expected to attend the fundraiser in his honor. Why Is Prince Harry Jumping Out of a Plane? Harry’s connection to the event organizers runs through the Invictus Games, which Sunnybrook and True Patriot Love helped bring to Canada. The Duke of Sussex spent 10 years in the British Army, completed two tours in Afghanistan, and served as both a Forward Air Controller and Apache helicopter pilot, so this is hardly his first encounter with military adrenaline. Harry also recently visited Washington, D.C., to support veterans, but he has not publicly addressed the reported UK move. Harry and Meghan left the royal family in 2020 and reportedly traveled from their California home on August 26 with Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, to be closer to King Charles III while he undergoes cancer treatment.
