Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are facing opposition from neighbors over a proposed fence at their lakeside Ohio home, with the local Architectural Review Board hearing concerns about the project about a month ago. The couple wants a six foot black, powder coated aluminum fence and additional trees for privacy. According to the meeting transcript obtained by TMZ, the fence would sit roughly two feet inside the property boundary because of nearby sewer lines. Neighbor Katherine Bolton questioned whether the planned trees would be safely positioned away from an aging sewer line, while also suggesting that Swift might not remain in Cleveland long term. Why Are Neighbors Pushing Back? Wildlife is another sticking point. Residents reportedly told the board that deer are common in the area and raised concerns that an animal could be injured by a fence post, turning a celebrity privacy upgrade into an unexpectedly local zoning saga. The dispute arrives after Swift and Kelce reportedly married at Madison Square Garden in July. Kelce is also in football season with the Kansas City Chiefs, who started the season 4 and 0, while Swift has recently shown affection for Cleveland through her music, proving that even a love letter to a city does not guarantee a warm welcome from every neighbor.
